How to Navigate the New Applelust.com

Welcome to the new Applelust.com! We hope you can find your way around. We know how frustrating it can be to get used to one way of doing things and then suddenly we throw a new way of doing things at you! To help let us explain the navigation systems on the site, for there are really two of them.

Study this graphic to get a visual impression of the site:

First, there is general navigation system with two major sections: OpEd and Resources. On these pages you will find gateways to each subsection's index. Thus,

OpEd — Overview of OpEd subsections

Resources — Overview of Resources subsections

  • Books — Our reading room page

  • Contacts — Contacts, history and statement of the site

  • Forums - Forums Entrance. Anyone can post, but you must be registered to reply.

  • Links — Our page of links to various sites on the Mac web and elsewhere

  • Reviews — Our Reviews Index

  • Site Map — Just what it says

  • Subscribe — Subscribe to our newsletter

You will notice that this structure is repeated on the left-hand side of every page as well. So you can get into each subsection directly from any point on the site. For an overview of what's going on visit the major sections, OpEd and Resources, and you will see each major section of the site summarized right before your eyes! From there you can get to subsections' index pages.

The Navigation Bar at the top of each page is broken down a bit differently, please note. It has the major sections OpEd and Resources on it, and then five of the subsections which most visitors will frequent often: Forums, Contacts, Subscribe, Site Map (in case you are ever lost), and of course Home to get back to the start page. Also, clicking on the Forums badge on any page will take you to our Forums, obviously, and clicking on "Applelust.com" on the top left will take you back to the home page from anywhere in the site.

So the two navigation systems are (1) the one to the left on each page with links to each major section and subsection, and (2) the Navigation Bar on each page for frequently visited major sections. The Navigation Bar takes you to the major sections as well as a few popular subsections; the links to the left will take you any place, subsections and major sections.

If you want a visual overview, we offer one of the coolest site Maps around. Be sure to check it out. And enjoy your time at Applelust.com.

Also, we have utilized some of the latest html and CSS code into the site. This means if you want to see the page in all its intended beauty then do two things in your browser's preferences: (1) turn on javascript (we promise NEVER to present you with uninvited pop-ups mind you!), and (2) set it to use style sheets. It looks best in IE but we tried o get it right for both major browsers. It's just that coding for NN is a real pain!!

We have also gone to great lengths to make the site's pages extensible, fitting any monitor size you aim at it.

Enjoy ...
