The JunkMan

The JunkMan is Pat St-Arnaud, previously known as editor of MacHome Journal's HotTips and CD editor for MacHome. Since it is a well-known fact that a Mac's half-life is somewhat longer than that of enriched Plutonium, the JunkMan's mission is to find innovative, creative of simply fun ways to recycle those poor, abandoned CPU one may find on the side of the road or buried in your closets, once in a while.

Aside from the MacHome venture, Pat has been the guy you call about your Mac problems for over 15 years. A graduate of l'École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montréal, he left a career as financial analyst and Federal Agent for the Canadian Government to focus on more rewarding ventures: Macintosh support and service company MTEQC and advertising/PR firm HELLSTONE.

Pat has written many contributions both online and in print, spent a few years as a volunteer and team leader for the Fringe Festival (where he met his long-time partner Kristi), and kept out of trouble as a teenager by producing The Rocky Horror Picture Show stage review (where he also played the role of Eddie). Staunch libertarian and underdog advocate, he is NOT a Luddite - but then again, he does not buy in the "happiness through technology" mantra either, and has no fear of controversial issues.
